They Hold Us Here With Paper Chains
The depths of evil here at work
Are deeper than we are aware;
In every walk of life they lurk
Though many do not know they’re there.
They sit behind this great display
Controlling all the life we see.
We’re fed the script within their play
And act as if we all are free.
They hold us here with paper chains
The ones that really have no worth
And every person still remains:
The slave they had become on earth.
